  • Run water, flush toilets, and inspect for leaks to keep seals pliable and traps full (preventing odors)

  • Inspect household appliances, including the dishwasher, washer/dryer, and refrigerator

  • Check the main electrical panel for tripped breakers

  • Inspect ceilings for signs of roof or plumbing leaks

  • Look for any signs of pest activity or infestation

  • Test smoke detectors for proper operation

  • Monitor thermostats and adjust settings seasonally as needed

  • Replace or note any burned-out light bulbs

  • Ensure all windows and doors are securely locked

  • Ground-level roof inspection for damage, clogged gutters, or downspouts

  • Inspection of all windows and doors for signs of damage

  • Assessment for water intrusion, moisture issues, or pest activity

  • HVAC system condition check

  • Garage door condition and operation review

  • Inspection of any outbuildings or docks

  • Evaluation of yard areas, shrubbery, damaged trees, and storm debris

  • Hot tub or sauna visual inspection

  • Pick up any litter from the driveway and check the mailbox
